We all love our pets, so when we move we want to make sure that we’re making the best decision we can. Here are four questions to ask when looking for a dog-friendly home:
1. Is it a dog-friendly neighborhood? There are a couple of ways to find out if a neighborhood is dog-friendly. The easiest one is to simply ask people however that is not always practical. The other way is to walk through the neighborhood and see how many dogs you can find.
2. How many dog parks are nearby? A quick search on Google Maps will show how many dog parks are nearby. Many dog parks have dog walk times as well. If you’re looking for an easy way to socialize your dog, dog parks are a good way to go.
3. Is there a yard? You’re not always going to be able to take your dog to a park. If you have a large dog consider the size of the yard before you buy.
4. Fenced in or not? A fenced in yard is closely tied to the size of the yard. When you’re looking for a home you should consider if you need a fenced in yard. If the yard isn’t already fenced in consider the cost to fence it in. With larger dogs, it can be convenient to just let them out to play.
The main thing is space. When searching for a home look for plenty of outdoor space for pets to play and roll around. Sometimes, even with research, it can be hard to know the most dog-friendly neighborhoods. We at Realty Masters of Florida want to help you find the best home for you and your furry friend.
